TUAKANA TEINA

Today we had to sequence pictures about the story of Goldilocks and the three bears.

First we watched the story.


Then we had a buddy (tuakana- teina) to work with. (tuakana- older, teina- younger)

We cut the pictures and we discussed where the pictures needed to go.

Then we told the story to our buddies!!

It was fun to work with a buddy!!

PREPARING FOR EXTRAVAGANZA DAY!!

We are making some items from recycled things like cans, jars, plastic bottles and egg cartons.

Making pencil holders from used cans.

Making egg carton flowers!!

Painting plastic bottles for planter pots. We love them.

OUR TRIP TO THE REFUSE TRANSFER STATION

Our trip to the Refuse Transfer Station in Henderson

On a sunny morning we all hopped into the bus on our trip.

We listened to instructions so that we know what to do.

We put on our helmets and vest to look around the station.

 We saw an excavator, lots of wood that can be used, dangerous items and the rubbish area.

We ate our morning on the deck.

Fun on the playground with play area made from recycled items.

In the classroom learning about sorting the rubbish to put in the correct bins.

We learned so much on the trip. It was super fun!!
